 Room 4 had a wonderful time at Kelly Tarltons on Tuesday.  

The children did some fantastic writing about our trip back at school and we will be working on some art to go with our writing for display in the classroom.

Magic Play Box

 Last week was our first session exploring the Magic Play Box, a collection of junk play items which encourage children to use their imagination through play.

The recycled materials allow the children to create and invent in a different way than playing with toys does. The magic comes from within the child in their creativity and being allowed to freely use their imagination.

The teacher is there to help, support and talk to the children as they play doing as little as possible. This enables the children to become leaders, having fun and developing movement, social and communications skills along the way.

The crate became a slide, a hut and then a car.
